SIA Inspiration: Portrait of Emilie Flöge
It’s the first Style Imitating Art of 2013! The inspiration is “Portrait of Emilie Flöge” by Gustav Klimt:
Emilie Flöge was a designer and lifelong friend of Klimt’s. Did you know that together, they created the style of loose-fitting dresses seen in a lot of Klimt’s paintings? I love all the colors hidden under the seemingly monochromatic blue and the rich, mosaic-like texture of the dress.
