I had a phone call with an old friend last night and he said to me (I’d just taken a bath and was about to hunker down with a book), “Wow, you just have the coziest life.” It was totally in earnest – not sarcastic or making fun of the fact that pandemic me acts ninety, and it made me laugh. It also got me thinking about the things we aspire to. It can be hard to aspire to much these days.
