Striped Duster + Ankle Boots.
A striped duster makes for breezy summer layering.
Kansas City isn’t quite the sweat box we’re used to in July (yet!), so I’m taking advantage of the cooler temps by working in a fun layering piece like this striped duster. It adds a little something extra to a basic tank and cuffed denim shorts combo. I love the way the duster floated around in the breeze; that movement is so pretty! The balance between the duster’s length and the hem of the shorts works, too. Rugged ankle boots give a little boost to the leg line and ride that boho vibe. (My boots are much-loved ol’ faves, but score similar versions here , here , and here .)
