To Break the Rules or Not to Break the Rules?
I’m SUCH a rule follower. Even when it comes to rules that I made up. And if I feel like one of the rules isn’t being followed, I feel at least a little unsettled, if not headed toward a full-blown freak out.
Over the years, I’ve gotten better at managing my rule-following emotions, and sometimes I can find a way around the rules that I feel ok about.
This can range from silly, like being forbidden to tp people’s houses when we were in school (also illegal) but figuring there was no rule against potato hanging. We bought bushels of potatoes and tied one to each end of a piece of fishing wire before drawing faces and...
