When everyone is jumping off a bridge, I tend to take the tunnel.
Even if what they are doing is absolutely awesome, for some reason when someone urges me to do something, I pull back. With teachers telling me to read books, parents urging me to brush my teeth before bed, friends suggesting a restaurant, Academy Awards nominating the best films of the year . . . basically anything that someone says “You have to try/do . . . ” and you can count me out. I’m not saying I do it on purpose. In fact, I am naturally attracted to the same things every one else is. But it’s when I am told to do so something, I’m like a little kid...
