back at the beach
The thing I miss most about living in a small beach town is how easy it was to find yourself at the beach. Each morning would inevitably start with a coffee and a bench overlooking the water, and each evening would end with a walk to the beach for yet another brilliant sunset. Every warm day was an excuse to stretch out in the sand and let the waves wash away your worries. The only downside of living in a tiny town like Santa Cruz, the beach town I'm always visiting, is the major side-eye shade thrown my way when I wear pretty much anything I own.
