I finally figured out how to not look overwhelmed on top when I’m wearing a midi skirt: wear a shirt that actually fits me. It turns out I acquired quite the collection of somewhat loose-fitting tops during law school, all of which look great with skinny jeans, and all of which look frumpy with a full skirt. It doesn’t help that all my favorite stores are doing this vanity sizing thing. I decided not to expand with the rest of America, and somehow my normal size outgrew me. Now I have to get ridiculously small expanded sizes if I don’t want to look like I’m playing dress-up. This sweater is an XXSP – it took me a while...
