An autumnal walk and a lovely pub Sunday afternoons in autumn are for wrapping up warm and going for long walks that come to an end in a cosy pub. Rusty leaves littered the quiet streets and kite flyers made the most of the winds whistling around Parliament Hill. Some adventurous swimmmers even braved the chilly waters for a swim in the outdoor bathing pools.We ended our day in the Southampton Arms, a pub with a no nonsense approach to it's three pronged menu, consisting of ale, meat and cider. We opted for the latter two, with a pork pie split down the middle, and handle glasses filled with cloudy cider. The pub's well worth a visit if you like independent breweries and, er, meat.We both piled on layers...
