There is nothing more beautiful than a kitchen at 5 AM. When you’re the first to rise and the floors creek underneath you, their sighs going in tandem with the rustling of sheets and the quiet ending of dreams. The way the darkness whispers through the small kitchen window and pools in silver light on the floor. The way it catches and snags against the lace of the curtain and spills down over the empty coffee mugs in the sink.
