TBT: Hairs of a different color
This is a post about hair. It is also a post about personal growth, told (often humorously) through the "lens" of hair. If you don't care about hair and think posts like this are vain/boring, I suggest you skip this one and come back tomorrow for something less follicle-focused! My hair and I have been through a lot over the years. As a small child, I was occasionally misgendered by strangers because of my short bowl cut, and I longed for long hair I could wear in braids like Anne of Green Gables. As I got a bit older, my mom let me grow my hair to chin-length, shoulder-length, and then armpit-length, but my bangs remained blunt and my cowlick apparent. Here...
