Remember this old moat wall? Before I was engaged to an Irish man and staying in ancient towers , I briefly lived inside a moat. There were no dragons involved, but depending on how I tell the story I can make my life sound like a fairytale. Trust me, most days it is not! However, I did briefly live inside a moat and recently went back to the old haunts and took these pictures inside the moat wall. The other entrances to the moat are large and paved for cars to go through, this is the sole walking path into the old fort. I think it's quite pretty and I hope they maintain it in years to come.
