Friday, we took the Seventh grade on a field trip to a local art museum exhibit on the Holocaust. We even had a Holocaust survivor speak to the kids before we toured the exhibit and I gave a presentation to the group that morning on a concentration camp that I visited in Europe. I honestly think the chaperones got just as much out of the trip as the kids--it was an incredibly emotional and powerful day.
One of my students is having her Bat Mitzvah soon and her theme...
