The Liberty Shirt Dress
Remember this Op Shop find? Well I finally finished modifying it and I must say, it's pretty darn cute!I took the advice of the marjority of comments on the original post and made the sleeves 3/4 length with a small turned up cuff on the edge for a little fun. I took the dress in about an inch along each side seam and sleeve. I also completely re-set the sleeves to resolve the over sized shoulders, which was a massive challenge. They aren't perfect, but I don't think any non-sewer would notice the extra fabric around the armscye.It's quite a bold dress and the fabric is quite loud. While I do love it, I'm not sure I'm going to have the guts to wear it. What do you think?...
