Happy 4th of July. Although this holiday is most assuredly focused on a celebration of America's freedom, the past few Independence Days have personally brought to mind Lana Del Rey's "National Anthem." The play on words and 1960s Kennedy family inspired music video are certainly a throwback to the patriotic spirit of the mid 20th century, however the core meaning of the song sends a more personal and in depth message.
