There's no shortage of acclaim for the Little Black Dress. It could only be more revered if it cured horrible diseases, or sang like a kitten . It appears on every must-have wardrobe list, along with the mythical, magical trench coat. I'm not going to say here that my beloved husband put my favorite LBD in the dryer and shrunk it, and I cried. But I do have a couple of versatile little black summer dresses, one in linen and one cotton knit.
