Shuck Oyster Bar at the OC Mix in Costa Mesa
Shuck Oyster Bar has the best darn (fresh) oysters inland of the OC coastline; oysters are only day out of water and the chowda wasn't too shabby either. From what I've heard from friends, the grilled cheese is a must-try and is an alternative if you're not keen on seafood; but you're not going to want to go to Shuck without trying the oysters and in-house sauces. I was full after eating the bowl of chowda and 4 oysters. Oysters are $3 or get a dozen of the Chef's Choice; which is what we ordered to try a variety of oysters.
