Light dresses are so great for hot summer weather. The material is as comfy as pajamas. But of course the tapered waist and slightly capped shoulder design with the "just enough" V-neck make for a much more complimentary look than pajamas I'm sure :) (I did get the dress hemmed 2 inches by the way.)
