My college English professor would have been so furious at this totally cliché, pathetically rhymed next statement, but here it is; I am, in fact, ‘Mad for Plaid’ . S omewhere between the floral overload that was my childhood – right down to the Laura Ashley bedspread! – and mismatched print frenzy I’ve had going since kindergarten, plaid, polka dots, and florals are my idea of wardrobe cornerstones.
