Black and Silver
When I was young, my sister told me “everyone wears black at night” with a scoff, which made me instantly think it was a big no-no to wear it too. She was my fashion idol, and our 9 year gap made me believe she was wise beyond her years. She always encouraged me to be different when picking outfits, wearing skirts instead of blue jeans on school wash days, or wearing dresses instead of a fancy top and black slacks for corporate events. Little black dresses to me were reserved for the day, and at night, I usually took out my emerald greens, ruby reds and sapphire blues. I guess I never grew out of that mentality.
