the Ruins.
Taking you guys back to my beautiful trip to Oaxaca, México with my good friends from Guelaguetza restaurant earlier this month.. We were extremely lucky to have been able to visit the Mitla ruins.
It was such a fascinating feeling to be able to walk through these ruins that are one of the most important archeological sites in the state of Oaxaca. These ruins were occupied and functioned as the main religious center when the Spanish arrived in the 1520s. It was exciting to know a little bit more about these ruins through our friends, Bricia and Fernando, who showed us around and told us a little bit of the Mitla history.
