I love how we can hop in the car for a bit and be completely transported to another world. Nicola Lake is so beautiful in the fall, and on private lakefront property, it's unbelievably silent. You could hear a pin drop as we stood on the beach and when you breathe in the fresh air, you just can't help but feel full of gratitude and a sense of calm. A reminder that amongst the daily chaos, we must take a moment to just breathe and be still.
