Early Thanksgiving
My sister and brother-in-law have moved into their new apartment with an oven and everything, and our family starts to make a habit out of having dinner over there at least once a week. In a weird coincidence/serendipity, yesterday my dad was given a fresh turkey by one of his colleagues, who knows a turkey farmer – turkeys are gaining popularity here. Long story short, we decided to have an early Thanksgiving/Teacher’s Day celebration (November 20th is Teacher’s Day in Vietnam) instead of waiting until the actual Thanksgiving, because a fresh turkey will definitely taste better than a frozen one.
