Summer & Gertie...
There is something about Summer evenings, the smell of Jasmine flowers in the air and warm speckles of sun slowly turning to a slight chill..everyone comes outside and kids running through sprinklers on their front lawn before dinner is considered a total necessity to cool down just a little. I have quite a few wonderful memories of my grandmother picking my sister and i up late at night when we were kids to go to the beach for a dip, the air was so hot that we would stick our heads out of the window and close our eyes singing loudly to whatever was on the radio!
