Halloween in NZ
I don't want my kids to celebrate Halloween. It's just not that bigger deal here in NZ. Honestly Halloween in NZ feels like a 'holiday' or event invented by the retail chains to sell more stuff. I think as my kids get older and feel the pressure from their peers we may change our philosophy, but for now it's a non-event in my house. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE dressing up. Our family dress-up box is huge and full of wigs, hats, and all sorts of other wonderful costumes for almost any occasion. And I do have quite a sweet tooth and let the kids have treats on occasion.
