1938 Knit Sweater
I commissioned good ol'mom to make knit me a sweater from a pattern from 1938. I find it fascinating when we are able to create something that is from instructions that are over 70 years old! Crazy! Knitting patterns can be more difficult than they seem as also yarn thickness can play a factor. So, it is a little bit more boxy than the original but still very lovely! The late 30's are one of my favorite fashion periods and I'm also working on sewing a dress from 1940 with the required puffy sleeve effect. This sweater is also a wonderful sweater to wear in the fall time. Kudo's to mom:) Now, I need to work on some kind of high waisted pencil skirt to go with...
