Picture Day
One tiny aspect of teaching that you may not realize is that we still get our school pictures taken every year. Mostly it's for the yearbook, but the company that does the student portraits in our district also provide the teachers with a free package of our school photo every year. Why exactly? I haven't a clue. Every year it's a source of confused amusement and everyone seems to give their "school pictures" to their parents or we write little messages on the back of the wallet-sized photos and give them to our teacher friends as a joke.
