Simplicity 9825 Maxi Skirt and self-drafted shrug topy thingy
I am continuing on a bit of an obsession for maxi's this spring/summer. I had some cotton voile in stash that I thought would make a nice cool maxi skirt so I made up Simplicity 9825, Version D . I've made this pattern up a few times before here and here and here .
I like the yoke on this pattern, its very flattering. The centre front seam can easily be eliminated, which I did for this version. I fully lined it in the same fabric (a black cotton voile from Spotlight) and added a lapped zipper at the centre back. I'm still playing around with piping so I added some black piping at the yoke, I also added a couple of rows of some cream cotton lace at the hem....
