Let me get one thing out of the way: I hate, abhor, loathe, etc. jeans and trousers in general. Garments of the bi-legged variety just aren't my bag. They seemingly never fit right, they make me feel like a disproportionate mutant, and generally make me sort of hate myself. Being that I'm otherwise a fairly confident girl, I tend to avoid these problematic pieces all together and stick to what I know and what makes me feel best.
I so badly want to don the Jeans-and-a-T-Shirt look and look easy breezy cool, but what should be effortless tends to end up looking somewhat... sloppy. Only because the fit is never quite right - until I tried on a pair...
