I've had trouble in the past with getting the camera to focus on me while using a tripod and the self timer and usually I would have to pose by a tree or a fence in order for the auto focus to be correctly aligned for when I would jump in the frame. Fortunately, after reading Elizabeth's post, I learned her trick for using the auto focus and the manual focus. While I'm not bragging about these photos or anything, I'm pretty excited...
