Silent Vulcan
I have trouble describing this haircut to others. Sometimes, I think it is sci-fi (like a Vulcan) and sometimes I think it is more silent film star (like Louise Brooks). Dress, London Times. Belt, thrifted. Boots, Ariat. Earrings, Sacramento state fair. I also describe this as my “German boy haircut” and “bowl cut with bangs.” Beefy is less poetic, calling it “severe” and “androgynous” and wondering aloud why I would do this to myself right before my 20-year high school reunion. I just laugh, say I actually like those descriptors, and remind him that “it’s just hair!”
