Jacquard
I have seen quite a lot of clothes made of very thick jacquard, especially at Zara. I really love this kind of material, although it's not easy to make a piece of clothes out of it! It's so thick that sometimes my sewing machine couldn't handle the hems, and I had to do it with my own little hands (can't tell you how many times I hurt my fingers). The woman and the shop must have thought I was mad to do a skirt with a fabric supposed to be upholstery! I wanted to give it an asymmetrical shape, to give a contrast between the old- looking fabric and the modern shape. J'ai vu pas mal de vêtement faits en jacquard très épais ces derniers temps,...
