After a 15 hour flight and a layover in Guam, Grant and I finally made it to Manila! We arrived around 5:30 in the morning, greeted by my mom and some of my relatives. They definitely don't waste any time in the Philippines because after we got to my Uncle's house and hung out for a bit, we started sightseeing ASAP. Luckily for us, jet lag hadn't set in yet ;)
Pampanga, which is the region of the Philippines where my family is from, is home to a lot of old Spanish churches. A little history for those unaware but the Philippines were under Spanish rule for a few centuries, hence the country's Catholic majority and a large Filipino population with Spanish surnames...
