The Long and Short of it
These outfits never made it to the blog, but they're seeing the light of day now because of my broken lens (the new one arrives tonight). After sweatpants, skirts are my favorite thing to wear. When I enter a thrift store I run to the skirt section first (when I say run I mean sprint). Of course, no skirt is ever perfect and I usually have to put some work into whatever one I buy - whether it's sewing on a new button or washing out an unknown, brown stain that I don't want to talk about. I bought a sewing machine last year and taught myself (with the help of many phone calls with my mom) how to sew. I'm still amazed at how much removing just 2 inches of fabric can do for...
