I'm always intrigued by the beautiful angel statues (though they do freak me out after seeing the weeping angels in Doctor Who), and find it fascinating reading some of the inscriptions- one that springs to mind is a family tomb: a poor mother who lost her four sons before they reached 25- including one in the Boer War and one succumbing to fever in Brazil.
