One month ago while my brother's family was traveling from Utah to California for Christmas, his wife went into labor--six weeks early. After some difficult decisions, baby Maxwell was born and baby and mother were promptly separated as Max was transferred to a NICU 20 miles away. I flew to Texas a few days later and waited until the day I could meet baby Max. After returning from Texas, Hudson grew sick and seeing Max was out of the question until he was healthy.
