Small things to be happy about when life sucks.
Let me get real with y'all for a minute. 2011 was a really hard year, and just when I thought I was getting on my feet again, my year ended with me getting laid off from my job on December 30th. My marriage nearly ended earlier this year, and bringing it back from the brink was the hardest thing I have ever done. My husband and I have been on the mend for a while now, after several months of excruciatingly hard work, and then, poof: my awesome new job was yanked away from me as suddenly as it appeared. Needless to say, I was not in a celebratory mood for New Year's Eve this year. To be totally honest with you, I am not starting 2012 with much hope. Life will just...
