The 1930s Party
I am a huge sucker for theme parties. So when my friend Tori invited me to her sister's 1930s themed 40th birthday bash last Saturday, I dug through the suitcases I am living out of until next week and threw together what I hope was a good attempt at a good 1930s ensemble. The dress I am wearing is an actual late 1930s original, the only 1930s item I own and which I got for cheap, cheap, cheap because there is some staining I couldn't get out even after a dry clean. I paired it with a cloche hat, a vintage fur stole, and some T-bars. My hand bag is actually from the 1940s, too. It was my great-grandmothers on my mum's side. The party was heaps of fun.
