Helping Myself
Though I like to think of myself as a fairly independent modern working woman with a passable set of "urban assault" skills, I can't help but to turn into helpless girl mush when it comes to certain things and almost always ask for help. Like opening jars. Programming anything that uses a battery or has a remote. Grilling. Assembling items that require a multi-page instructional book. Flipping any sort of switch in the utility room. Things that live under the hood of the car.
However, as "damsel in distress" that I can be sometimes, there are also things that somehow pride overrides and refuses to let me budge on, so I go on alone without a whimper. Like...
