Day Trip: Muir Woods
Yesterday my colleague and I had the opportunity to visit Muir Woods National Monument for a teacher workshop to prepare for an upcoming field trip. We were the only teachers who showed up, so we ended up getting a tour of our own by two knowledgeable park rangers. We love taking the kiddos to places that are interactive and outdoors when possible, and I know this will be a field trip they will remember! The giant Redwoods are a spectacular sight to see. main entrance A recently fallen tree that was estimated to be about 400 years old and 115 ft tall. This tree was hit by lightning!
