Sur le blog dressed up like a lady
Good things come to those who wait (Thanks, Mom!)
My mom bought this sweater in the mid 90s, and I spent most of the next decade asking to borrow it. Ordinarily exceeding giving, she kindly refused on the grounds that it's made of a ridiculously porous variety of silk (apparently), and stains if you look at it wrong. Cut to last weekend, when MC and I were over for Thanksgiving. It turned out Mom isn't as attached to it as she was 15 years ago and she asked if I still wanted it! Lucky for me, my giving mom takes insanely good care of her garments, and it looks like it did the day she bought it. I, however, am just as clumsy as I was at 13.
