Ghosts of New England
I know I complain quite a lot about my little Connecticut town (everything from the weather to the lack of politeness bothers me), but one thing this state does have to offer is an abundance of ghosts. Before our local Borders bookstore closed its doors I ventured in and picked up a few books detailing the paranormal activity found throughout New England. One area in particular kept coming up, that of Dudleytown in Cornwall, Connecticut. This abandoned 18th century village was apparently cursed by the British Royal Family for trying to usurp the crown (or possibly for making out with the Queen depending on which author is telling the story) leading to numerous deaths...
