One More Weekend of Summer
I spent the weekend in Puerto Rico to visit the in-laws and friends. It was my last hurrah before Fall officially started for me. My husband and I didn't have time for the beach, but we did have time to catch up with friends and family and also to eat! We headed over to Guavate, PR for some authentic lechon (roast pork) on Saturday. Guavate has a string of lechoneras on the main roads. The area is very popular during Christmas time and it's only about 30-40 minutes from the San Juan metro area. I've always wanted to go, so we finally went! The food was amazing. I sure do miss it! I'm trying to persuade the family to go for Christmas this year! =)
