A few weeks ago, one of my lovely readers suggested to me that I should write a book in the style of Eat, Pray, Love, about my time in France. At the time, I just laughed - it was a cute little joke, I thought. But I've been thinking more and more since then, not about writing a novel [because I already have one interminable writing project to finish] but about the idea of considering my time in Paris a journey. I've been thinking of Paris as the destination since I was fifteen, so when I arrived this fall, it was a fait accompli. The reality is, it isn't over; we never stop learning and evolving as individuals. These last few weeks, I've finally had all the time...
