In one of my last posts, I mentioned being glad that Sandy was over and thankful that our apartment/neighborhood got spared from any major damage. The latter is true, but this was before I realized how devastating Sandy was to the city of NY. As I write this post, I am almost in tears (again) after hearing so many tragic stories of people who lost everything. The town I grew up in (The Rockaways), got completely demolished by Sandy.
