On New Year's Day Rich surprised me with a trip out to Montauk on Long Island's south fork where we stayed in a cozy cabin on the beach. While we were snug inside with a small fire, a little home cooked feast and a few bottles of wine there was a terrible downpour and freezing wind. The night was spent poking at the fire and cuddling on the couch watching Star Wars.
