Life is full of surprises - take, for example, The Conran Shop, a store that occupies one of the large buildings on rue de Babylone in Paris and used to be part of Le Bon Marché. Before Saturday afternoon, I had never been into the boutique because I thought, based on the impression that the exterior gives, that it was a place for elderly tourists. After my visit this weekend, I can tell you that it's something else entirely, a sort of haven for modern design enthusiastics, especially if you like housewares. [There is a direct link between this long paragraph and fashion, I promise...!] It was sort of the same thing with leather clothes. I had always shied away...
