I'm rather a fan of excess, you may have noticed. In clothing (colour colour colour! sparkles!), in life (lived in four countries last year), in holidays (wine, baileys, port, cookies, cakes, cheese, Christmas dinner)... you get the point. But the first days of January are definitely a time for taking a breath and attempting to calm down a bit on the excess. Time for jeans and a cozy sweater. Time for piling your hair on your head in a no-nonsense style. Time for taking stock of future plans.
