A side satchel or purse tends to flop around and get in the way while I'm cycling, so I invested in this canvas backpack. High-waisted shorts and tights are my favourite combination to wear out on a bike ride. (And a cozy sweater to cut wind chill!) I see some ladies around town biking in dresses.
