Ever had one of those weekends when you "pop to the shops" first thing, expecting to be back late morning? Mr. Summers and I did exactly that on the day these were taken, but somehow we ended getting home at 7pm. We ended up dropping in to see my niece for a cup of tea, splashing out at the rather good thrift shops in the town where she lives and then having a walk along the beach. So thank goodness I wore layers and flat shoes! The raincoat was needed really only for warmth at the beginning and end of the day... the days are a lot colder now when the sun isn't up.
