Ivy And Gold
Since the weather still refused to cool down, I’ve had to resort to what I usually do around this time of the year – dress in fall-color but summer-weight fabrics, like with this outfit, for example. I sort of built it around my brooch – the black and gold colors and the intricate carvings are exquisite, so I tried to replicate that in the lace of my top and the tassels of my shoes. It would be a solid fall outfit, except the top is lightweight cotton and the skirt is khaki. When can I wear my wool and knit and velvet, dammit?
